After present opening we had breakfast and then John and Audrey went upstairs to put her new computer desk together. Then we headed up to Grandma Carter's for the Christmas Day meal. The roads were not plowed so the driving was a little white-knuckling, but the trip was worth it. They had a housefull of food (ham, turkey, potatoes, yams, salads, veggies, rolls, etc, etc, etc) and a housefull of relatives. It was a fun, fun time visiting and laughing and enjoying each others' company.

Christmas Day
We had a wonderful Christmas morning at our house. Audrey got everything ready - she laid out the blankets for each of us and distributed the gifts. Then we took turns opening one present at a time. Audrey got a new leather coat for church, a blanket wrap, a few games for her xbox and a new computer desk. John got new slippers (really needed them), an SQL computer book, The Office DVDs and an Ipod Shuffle. I got some books, a Disney fleece jacket, candle sticks, and a new computer from Audrey! Yes, you heard that right. John and Audrey heard me lament one too many times about my computer 'locking up' and then it actually crashed about 10 days ago, loosing photos and all. Not only did she give me a computer, but she gave me a coupon good to "Install the new one" and "Remove the old one". Awesome!!!

I really cannot imagine how people are getting around at all up there. I am not kidding. I am surprised that people are getting out of their houses at all!
Looks like you guys had a fun Christmas! Cute pictures, and thanks for the yummy recipes to try!
PS- on the above recipe, how do you make your biscuits? I have never found a good recipe (although store-bought are good, I'd like to do homemade if I found a recipe everyone likes!)
