This is a recipe we got from Bessie Riggin. Back about 30 years ago when we were attending 4th ward at the Argonne Building, we would swing by Bessie's apartment on Liberty and take her to church. My favorite times were when she would lean over to us kids as we were heading home from church and say "don't forget to come up for a plate of goodies". This is one of those quick recipes that I love it at Christmas. And it always reminds me of Bessie!
BESSIE'S ALMOND BARK & CEREAL CANDY
1 package Almond Bark melted in a double boiler
Add:
3 cups Rice Krispies
3 cups Captain Crunch Peanut Cereal
1/2 jar dried peanuts (salted)
3 cups Colored miniature marshmallows
Mix well. Pour onto waxed paper and after set, break into chunks.
