Rock Garden

We have two egress windows in our basement with very nice window wells thanks to John's efforts quite a few years ago. At the time we cut out the windows and installed the stone window wells, we planted some ivy. It was pretty for a number of years but kept growing & spreading to the point of not looking very good and taking over everything. We yanked it out earlier this summer and then did not know what to do with the space - buy more ivy or some other plant? Then I decided I liked the dry-river-bed-rock look and put Audrey to the task. She went up to Grandma's to harvest round, pretty rocks. Then she started to place them. She did not have enough, so we had to go up to get more rocks. The end result is quite lovely - thanks Audrey for doing such a good job!!
