Dames at Sea

The third musical in our season tickets - Dames at Sea. I had honestly never heard of it before we went. It was your basic 40's musical and was sweet. Ellen Travolta starred and she had some pretty funny moments. John and I had a nice time tonight

Triple Play

Another week-day off and so we headed to Triple Play and took Audrey's friend Shayla. It was fun sliding down the water slides - I have not done that in years! I took my underwater camera with me and tried to take pictures while in the water tube. Only got a picture of my leg and then my ear when I tried to take a picture of John who was behind me. And then I was at the end - oh well. We got our fill of water playing and then stopped for a snack and some shopping before heading home.

Night at the Museum 2

I'm beginning to think this is the summer of sequels!! We went to Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithonian tonight at the Garland Theatre. This is the closest to a dollar theatre left in Spokane ($3.50) and has character. We had a good time and enjoyed the show.

Cheyenne Party

We got to see the Gramlow's new puppies as well as attend Cheyenne's western theme birthday dinner. Michelle did a great job on the food and Cheyenne looked ready for her party - down to her boots.

White Water Rafting

We went white water rafting down the Clark Fork River today and had a ton of fun! The tour company was Wylie E Waters and they did a great job of doing all the hard work for us so that our group could have a good time and enjoy ourselves. I had purchased an underwater camera that I took on our trip - had fun trying to take pictures after I got over the shock of putting it under the water...check out my sandal!

Day Off

I have a bunch of week-days scheduled off during the summer and today was one of them. We decided to head downtown to see the movie Ice Age 3. Thought it was cute! Afterwards we headed to Sandwich Gardens and each of us tried something new. Well, actually, John had eaten there years ago before when you could access their location via the sky walk only. Then they went away for awhile due to the tearing down of the old River Park shopping area and building the new River Park Square. We noticed it had the new location a few times recently, but finally decided to stop in to try John's old favorite (a sandwich with peaches and cottage cheese). I ran into a friend from the Symphony right before I ordered. She had just ordered there so I ordered what she had suggested and was glad that I did. Audrey ordered a hot chicken sandwich. Good sandwiches. Then we had some delicious chocolates at Boehm's before heading back to our car. It was only early afternoon so we headed out to Post Falls to see Cabela's. We had never gone before, so figured we were due. It was interesting, but probably more entertaining if you actually do a lot of outdoor type stuff (which we don't). We did get some candied nuts for the ride home and they were yummy!!

Transformers

Because we had seen the first Transformers movie at The Roxy in Newport, we figured that is where we had to see the second movie. My sister was gracious enough to feed us dinner before we went. Some sequels are better than others. I would say the original Transformers movie was better. But we did have a nice time anyway.
