This was one of the cookies we made for our holiday treat plates.
CHOCOLATE COOKIES WITH CHRISTMAS KISSES
1 & 1/4 c. butter, softened
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
3/4 cup cocoa powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 bag Peppermint Hershey kisses
1 bag Mint Truffle Hershey kisses
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a bowl cream butter and sugar until fluffly. Add eggs, one at a time, beat well. Add vanilla. Combine dry ingredients; gradually add to creamed mixture. Stir in chips. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto parchment covered baking sheets. Bake 9-11 minutes. Do not overbake. Slid warm cookies/parchment paper to counter to cook. Cool for 1 minute and then add unwrapped kisses in the center of each cookie. Makes about 4 dozen.
